Mark joined CBMi in 2007 as the director of operations for the center after previously working for 11 years as a director of data analysis and toxicogenomics at Gene Logic Inc. He is responsible for the daily operations of the center including business-related activities, financial planning, long-term strategy, and general administration. Mark has also managed several informatics projects during his tenure for the Research Institute, including a collaborative wiki implementation, a social media program, and technology assessments for public web representation of research studies and faculty. Mark holds a master's degree in neurosciences from University of California, San Diego, a bachelor's degree in computer and information science from University of Maryland, and a bachelor's degree in molecular and cell biology from the Pennsylvania State University.
