One of CBMi's most successful collaborations to date involves work we've done in identifying and implementing a robust clinical trial management system (CTMS) for CHOP's Center for Childhood Cancer Research . As with any protocol-focused support system, a full understanding of human factors, clinical and research workflows, governance, sustainability, and regulatory and compliance requirements must translate into a platform that allows for balance between flexibility and off-the-shelf features. This is especially important in the oncology research setting where clinical care and research boundaries are not as clear as in other therapeutic areas.
Key features of the current system, implemented on the OnCore platform, include tools that seamlessly integrate research participation with CHOP's electronic health record, manage individual patient profiles, and provide general views of study metrics.
